Yoga for Rest & Recovery
Ongoing 8-week courses
Small group yoga courses with mentoring , both online and in-person
These courses will focus on a slow restorative pace and gently building ourselves up in our confidence, strength, flexibility, and stamina whilst allowing ourselves a lot of deep rest at the same time. Very gentle movement and stretch will be combined with supported restorative yoga poses, and while we will very loosely and creatively navigate a classical Hatha yoga class structure, the poses will be practiced with support such as bolsters, cushions and blankets for a deep dive into rest, relaxation and rehabilitation.
This course is especially helpful for these of us working with fatigue and chronic pain related issues, as well as for fat folks, folks with chronic conditions, and anyone who is drawn to this practice of self-awareness. The pace of the class will move slowly and everyone will be given gentle individual attention.
Mentoring
On the first session of each course we will introduce ourselves and share with each other about our relationship with yoga to date, our hopes from this new practice, our concerns, our health conditions, our limitations and anything we feel we want to share. From then on we will check in at the beginning of each session before we start our practice.
Led by a neurodivergent teacher with chronic illness. All my classes are neurodivergent friendly, fat friendly, and queer and trans friendly.
