Body Positive Classical Hatha Yoga led by Janice Kate
Yoga is rooted in spiritual traditions from South Asia and is not just a selection of exercise routines for fit people, in fact the physical yoga practice is just one small element of yoga that should be accessible to everybody. Yoga offers a lifestyle blueprint of spiritual teachings and practices that can help guide us towards a deep sense of well-being and connection in our lives. This day will include gentle and accessible physical yoga as well as guided meditation, breathing exercises, and deep relaxation practices.
Janice is a body positive, queer, non binary, fat yoga teacher with over 18 years experience of teaching classical hatha yoga in the Sivananda tradition. They are particularly passionate about making yoga accessible and EVERY BODY is invited to attend this event especially folks who are Black or Brown, fat, queer, trans, disabled, and anyone who feels more comfortable in body diverse groups.
