Wednesday Evening Fat Positive Yoga - Gentle Class

  • This class runs straight into a 15 minute Pranayama (yogic breathing) session

  • If you are taking this 6:30 p.m. fat positive class you are also welcome to complete the hour and stay on for the pranayama if you would like to

  • You do not have to stay on and can leave straight after the yoga practice if you prefer

  • Please arrive and leave classes muted so as not to disturb those who are staying, thank you

These fat positive sessions are for fat people only. They are a safe space to explore how classical hatha yoga works for your body, and to learn comfortable adaptations of poses, in a friendly, warm, welcoming, supportive community.

This class will be taught at a slow, gentle pace, and will be introductory for new students, and confidence building for anyone finding their way back into a yoga practice. It will also suit students who just fancy a slow, gentle class this evening. The class will be taught by a fellow fat teacher

All classes through Light Yoga Space share the same goals, to create accessible, non-competitive, safe, welcoming, online, community classes that prioritise the needs of people with diverse and marginalised body types.

You are welcome to have your cameras on or off. If your camera is on you will get more personal guidance. If your camera is off you can enjoy privacy and anonymity.

Class numbers tend to be small and friendly usually between 2-8 people, although nobody will be turned away.
