This group work is for you if you would like to:

  • learn yoga with a small, safe group

  • share your joys and difficulties as you practice

The Yoga Mentoring Programme

These group intensives are suitable for beginners and experienced students alike. Sessions will be held online using zoom


Week 1

We will begin our journey together with a relaxed introductory afternoon of yoga, deep relaxation, yogic breathing/Pranayama, meditation and yoga mentoring

Our focus here will be getting to know each other and establishing our visions for ongoing practice.

There will be time to share our body stories with each other to date, our yoga stories if you have one, as well as time for a gentle exploration of yoga, pranayama, meditation and guided relaxation practices. You may be absolutely brand new to yoga, have many years of experience or be somewhere in-between. Whatever your previous experience we will work together from where you are now with the vision of gently moving towards wherever it is you want to go. You can also create your own small group of family and/or friends

We will make a responsive plan for all participants of how we will move forward together with your mentoring and sessions for the rest of the programme and beyond…

Weeks 1-4

You will receive:

Either 2x 30 minute one-to-one practices, or 1x 60 minute practice (your preference) with just you and Janice Kate to focus on something specific that you want to work on, organised in a time slot/s that works for you

2x group mentoring/practice classes per week

you will also be encouraged to use the live group sessions and/or recorded sessions to make up 1-3 more weekly practices which you will be encouraged to journal on and (optionally) share about with me and the group.

You will also get

  • 1 month free access to our EVERY BODY or Fat Positive Community Memberships with unlimited free group yoga classes, and unlimited access to our recorded yoga class libraries

  • Phone, email or zoom guidance between sessions if you are struggling with something or need tips and/or encouragement

  • Encouragement to keep a practice journal

Week 4

  • A closing Thursday evening 2hr workshop with a gentle asana (yoga poses) practice, a deep Yoga Nidra style guided relaxation and a closing circle focussed on what next...


Meet your yoga teacher

Hi I am Janice Kate a body positive/fat positive/EVERY BODY yoga teacher, and artist, born and raised in Liverpool, now living in St Leonard’s on Sea, Hastings.

My yoga teaching is mostly influenced by my long term, traditional Classical Hatha Yoga training. In the last few years I’ve been on a journey both in my own practice and teaching, to incorporate more accessibility and restful recovery in yoga. I’ve been exploring practices such as restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra which now also hugely influence my offerings...
